Binary Fission is a form of reproduction that takes 1 parent cell the cell divides into two identical daughter cells. this process can occur in as little time as 20 minutes. Conjugation occurs when a bacteria containing the f factor builds a sex pilus and connects it to another bacteria. The bacteria can then swap DNA and plasmids. At the end of the process both cells contain the f factor meaning they can both make a conjugation tube and pass genetic material to other bacteria.
